Summary, etc. |
Since law enforcement is a highly demanding and stressful occupation, stressors must be identified to address them with intervention program. This study concerns to identify the level of importance and acceptance of intervention program for the police officers with psychological needs, and its significant relationship between the level of importance and acceptance. The quantitative-correlational method was applied in this study. The respondents of the study are from police station from 7th district of Cavite. This study utilized a researcher-made questionnaire that is divided into three parts. The method used to identify the level of acceptance and importance is the mean and Pearson’s r for the significant relationship. The mostly used intervention program for the level of importance was the "Annual Physical Exam" (APE) while e-Gabay program is the least important among the three programs. On the other hand, for the level of acceptance still the "Annual Physical Exam" is the most accepted while still the e-Gabay program is the least accepted. For the level of importance and acceptance it shows that the "Annual Physical Exam" is the most important and accepted among three programs followed by the "Psychiatric-Psychological Examination". The least important and accepted was the "eGabay Program" This evidently shows that there is a relationship between the level of importance and acceptance of intervention programs. The result shows that both important and accepted program among those three is the "Annual Physical Exam" (APE) because it helps more the police officer to address their stress and the APE program as mandated by the law. For the least important and accepted programs is the e-Gabay program wherein it is newly implemented program for the police officers.
Keywords: Intervention Program, Acceptance, Importance, Psychological needs.
|
