Assessment of Selected<br/>Rural Health Unit's Response on COVID-19 Cases in the Province of Cavite.<br/>Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Cavite State<br/>University, Indang, Cavite. June 2021. Adviser: Karen Louella R. Rint, RN, MAN.<br/>This study was conducted at the Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from<br/>September 2020 to June 2021. It aimed to compare the measures performed by Rural Health<br/>Units (RHUs) in selected areas of Cavite in response to COVID-19 and assess if it contributed<br/>to the number of cases in the area. Specifically, it intended to determine the demographic<br/>profile of the selected RHUs, determine the interventions implemented by the RHUs in<br/>response to COVID-19 cases, measure the relationship between the strategies of RHUs and<br/>the monthly number of COVID-19 cases in their respective cities/municipalities and identify if<br/>there are differences between the various RHUs in Cavite in terms of strategies to control<br/>COVID-19 cases they handle.<br/>The study utilized a quantitative descriptive correlational research design to strongly<br/>support all the gathered data and objectives of the study. The participating RH Us from the five<br/>cities/municipalities were determined through a purposive sampling technique. With the<br/>approval of the duly organized research ERB to ensure the compliance of the study in the<br/>national and international laws, a modified questionnaire adopted from the official guideline and<br/>protocols by the DOH and IATF-IED was then distributed for the actual data gathering.<br/>Based on the findings, the researchers were able to determine that the average number<br/>of employees in certain professions are found in the lower range of the standard number of<br/>employees as per DOH. Although all participating RHUs showed complete adherence to the<br/>COVID-19 interventions, other interventions were still significantly poorly performed by the<br/>RHUs. |
