Viado.<br/> <br/> The study aimed to determine the socio-economic profile of blue-collar workers of Cavite State University System in terms of age, sex, educational attainment, civil status, number of dependents, number of sources of income, employment status, and estimated monthly income; determine the financial management practices of blue-collar worker of Cavite State University System in terms of budgeting, spending, saving, and borrowing; determine the financial well- being of blue-collar workers of Cavite State University System; determine the relationship between socio-economic profile and financial well-being of blue-collar workers of Cavite State University System; determine the relationship between socio-economic profile and the financial management of blue-collar workers of Cavite State University System; and determine the relationship between the financial management practices and financial well-being of blue-collar workers of Cavite State University System. <br/> The study was conducted among the utility personnel of Cavite State University campuses in Bacoor, Carmona, Cavite City, General Trias, Imus, Indang (Main), Naic, Rosario, Silang, Tanza, and Trece Martires City. A prepared questionnaire served as the instrument to gather data. A total of 128 participants were included in the study using total enumeration. Statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, mean, range, standard deviation, and Spearman's Rho Correlation were used to analyze the data gathered from the participants. <br/> The result showed that most of the participants, 50 (39%), were 31 to 40 years old which has a mean of 40 years old. Majority of the participants, 72 (56%) were male, 48 (37%) were high school graduate and 82 (64%) were married. Most of the participants, 68 (53%) has 0 to 2 dependents, 88 (69%) has only one source of income. Furthermore, the study revealed that 105 (83%) were contractual and 90 (70%) has P5000 to P10000 estimated monthly income. The financial management practices of the blue-collar workers are occasionally practiced in terms of budgeting, spending, saving, and borrowing; and their financial well-being are moderately secured. <br/> Overall, financial management practices have no significant relationship to any socio-economic profile of the participants. Sex is found significant in terms of budgeting and spending. Employment status is also significant in terms of spending practices. In terms of saving practices, it reveals that the number of sources of income of participants is significantly related. While in terms of borrowing, educational attainment and borrowing practices are significantly related. The financial well-being of the blue-collar workers is significantly related to age and educational attainment of the participants. Furthermore, financial management practices are also significantly related to the financial well-being of the participants. <br/> |
