Undergraduate Design Project Bachelor of<br/>Science in Electronics Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Dr.<br/>Edwin R. Arboleda Fuzzy logic was a modern control technology that was designed to replicate human<br/>decision-making. In comparison to other types of control systems, fuzzy logic is easier to<br/>understand, more straightforward, and more versatile. Conventional mushroom growing<br/>methods, on the other hand, result in poor growth due to a lack of capital or cultivation space,<br/>lack of information about the cultural process, and adverse climate conditions. The fundamental<br/>goal of the study was to create a fuzzy logic- controlled mushroom growth chamber that<br/>provides an optimal environment for mushroom productivity and quality improvement.<br/>The fuzzy logic control system automates the adjustment of significant parameters<br/>particularly temperature, relative humidity (RH), carbon dioxide (CO2), and light intensity. The<br/>significant parameters can be wirelessly monitored with the use of the internet of things (IoT)<br/>and the data was stored in an online databank. The user can easily operate the functionality of<br/>the mushroom growth chamber with help of a graphical user interface (GUI). The study<br/>concludes that the growth chamber has efficiently stabilized the environment inside the chamber<br/>to an acceptable intended value, allowing it to satisfy the optimal environmental needs of the<br/>chosen mushroom specie through technical testing and evaluation. The study also<br/>demonstrated that fuzzy logic control boosted mushroom yield weight significantly more than an<br/>on/off controller. The device's cost was anticipated to be compensated by its benefits after 0.768<br/>years of constant operation. |
