Undergraduate Thesis. Cavite State University - Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Mr. Joether A. Francisco. <br/><br/> This study was conducted in selected barangays of Dasmariñas City, Cavite, namely, Paliparan III, Salawag, Sabang, Salitran III, San Agustin I. The researchers focused on how effective the programs/projects/activities carried out by the city government and barangay officials under RA 10631 are and how aware the resident pet-owners are in implementing such a law. What problems do barangay officials encounter in implementation and what are the corresponding solutions and recommendations to the problems. The study involved a total of 106 participants. It included 1 selected city government official, 1 selected barangay officials in each of the 5 selected barangays who are involved in projects/programs/strategies related to animal welfare, and 100 selected resident-pet-owners. In addition, the participants were chosen through Homogeneous purposive sampling. In this study, qualitative approach and descriptive research design were used. The data gathered were from the in-dept interview conducted and the data from the survey was computed and analyzed using net percentage. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of programs/projects/activities under RA no.10631 or The Animal Welfare Act of 1998 conducted by barangay officials and the awareness of residents on the implementation of such law and how it can help to generate additional solutions and recommendations to the problems encountered by barangay officials in the implementation of RA no.10631 or The Animal Welfare Act of 1998, to further strengthen the protection of all animals in society.<br/> |
