Capstone Project, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Mr. Ace Amiel E. Malicsi. <br/><br/> The university is using the paper based logbook which poses threats and inconvenience in security and manageability. In terms of generating reports, the staff usually produces daily outputs and records through paper and pen which convicts limited flexibility and lower quality of data. Other issue identified was the manual retrieved of data on logbooks which was very strenuous and take too much time. The disadvantages defined are due to lack of integrated log management and monitoring system, as well the laborious way of managing log information of visitors and generating daily reports. Thus, the authors of the study developed a Visitor Logbook and Monitoring System that can log a visitor easily and managing the list of the visitor as well as creating a report in just a click on the system. The Agile method was adopted in the study in both the development and evaluation of the system. The evaluation form included the following criteria based on ISO 9126 standards functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The overall evaluation of the system was "Excellent", based on the combined inputs of the respondents comprised of UCSS director and staff as well as the ICT experts. Improvements to the visitor log through implementation of signature of a visitor are recommended. Also, sending the reports to the director or the administrator automatically is recommended.<br/> |
