A three-point rating scale was used to determine their level of preference on the factors influence them in availing the services. Chi-square test was also utilized to determine the relationship between male and female service preference and socio-economic characteristic of the consumers of selected skin care clinic and the relationships between male and female service preference and the factors that influence them in availing the service.

Results of the study showed that most of the male and female respondents belonged to the age group of 18 to 29 years old, most of them were college graduates and with the average household size of four members.

The study also revealed that the majority of male consumers had a monthly income ranging from PhP 5,000 to PhP 28,999, while for the female consumers the majority of them also had a monthly income of PhP 5,000 to PhP 28,999. Majority of both male and female consumers availed the top three services namely: facial services, whitening services and spa services respectively. However among these three services, female availed those services more often. Most male and female consumers availed the different services of skin care clinic because of a warm and very accommodating attitudes of their service personnel with nice ambient conditions which means having good music, cool temperature, pleasant odor, relaxing colors and lightings.

Civil status and monthly income of male consumers have a significant relationship with their service preference but for female consumers, age and civil status has significant relationship with their service preference. |
