Oporto, Leonardo Ferraer, Applied Research IV (Agricultural Science Curriculum); Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, "Flowering Response of Anthurium (Anthurium andreanum Linn.) as Influenced by Fermented Acasia and Ipil-ipil Leaves''. Adviser: Mrs. Estrellita E, Morena

The study entitled "Flowering Response of Anthurium (Anthurium andreanum Linn.) as Influenced by Fermented Acasia and Ipil-ipil Leaves" was conducted to: (1) determine the effect of applying fermented Acasia and Ipil- ipil leaves as organic fertilizer for anthurium; (2) determine which treatment is best suited in enhancing the flowering ability of anthurium; (3) know the amount of fertilizer that should be applied on the plants as organic fertilizer; and (lL) compare the results of each treatment.

The Anthurium plants were placed under two different treatments and four levels of application of each of the treatment, using the factorial in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Results showed that there are significant differences on the number of leaves per plant, number of suckers

Per plant, number of flowers per plant, length of flower. Per plant, length of spadix per plant, height of flowers. Per plant, and the number of days from planting to flowering.

Based on the results of the study the use of any of the treatments at the highest level is recommended to produce the ideal number and size of flowers.
|
