Menez<br/>The researcher assessed the image of DepEd as an employer as perceived by its non-teaching personnel from Cavite division offices. Specifically, the researcher described the socio-demographic profile of the personnel of DepEd in Cavite offices, describe the image of DepEd as an employer as perceived by its personnel from Cavite offices in terms of administrative services rendered by its six sections/units, determined the overall image of DepEd as an employer as perceived by its personnel from Cavite offices, and determined if there are significant relationships between socio-demographic characteristics of the personnel and the perceived image towards the administrative services of DepEd as an employer.<br/>A total of 114 non-teaching personnel of I) DepEd in Cavite served as the respondents of this study. Slovin's formula was used in determining the number of respondents for the study. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequency count, mean, range and percentage. Z-test was used to compare the image DepEd Trece Martires City Division Office and DepEd Cavite City Division Office as an employer. Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship of some selected sociodemographic characteristics of respondents and their perceived image of DepEd as an employer.<br/>DepEd employees in Cavite were generally middle-aged, female, married, and college graduate. They occupied highly varied positions in the organization and had been with DepEd for a relative long period of time. DepEd employees enjoyed security of tenure in the organization as substantiated by their permanent appointments.<br/>Among the six sections/units rendering administrative services to employees, Records Section had the highest rating followed by Cash Section while the HRD Section had the lowest rating. The overall image of DepEd as an employer was "good" which implied positive perceptions on the administrative services rendered by the six sections/units.<br/>Significant difference existed between the image of DepEd Trece Martires City Division Office and DepEd Cavite City Division Office. The quality of administrative services rendered by Human Resource Development Section, Cash Section, Records Section, and General Services Pool of each the mentioned division office contributed to this substantial difference.<br/>The educational attainment of respondents was significantly related to the image of DepEd as an employer. Hence, the educational attainment of respondents significantly influenced their perception on the image of DepEd as an employer.<br/> |
