RODILLO, JONATHAN » Mes Agricultural Science Department, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indangs Cavite, March 1995 "EFFECT OF AZOLLA AND BANANA PEELINGS TREATED WITH TRICHODERMA ON THE GROWTH AND FLOWERING PERFORMANCE OF ANTHURIUM (Anthurium andraeanum) Adviser: Prof. Cecilia &. Capalad<br/><br/>The study entitled " Effect of Azolla and Banana Feelings Treated With Trichoderma on the Growth and Flowering Performance of Anthurium” was conducted. The objectives are: (1) determine the effect of azolla and banana peelings treated with Trichoderma as organic fertilizers; and (2) know the best amount of azolla and banana peelings treated with Trichoderma suitable for the Growth and flowering of anthuriums. & total number of 75 anthurium suckers (Kaumana variety) were used in the study. The study made use of the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments replicated three times. There were five samples per treatment. Experimental treatment are as follows: To 7 control: Ta ~ 100 grams of compost per pots Te - 150 grams of compost per pot; Ts ~ 200 grams of compost per potsand<br/>Ta - 250 grams of compost per pot.<br/><br/>Results showed that Treatment 4 was the best in terms of average height increment, average number of leaves, average leaf length, average number of suckers, average number of flowers and average number of days from planting to flower formation.<br/><br/>Moreover, Treatment 3 was the best in terms of average length and width of spathes. The least effective treatment was Treatment as produced by plants with poor growth.<br/> |
