Adviser : Dr. Yolanda A. llagan<br/>The study was conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory and Green House of the<br/>Department of Biological Sciences, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite Generally, it aimed<br/>to determine the effect of Bacillus on the growth, development and yield of tomato (Marikit<br/>variety).<br/>Sixty two-week old tomato seedlings were used in this study. The seedlings were<br/>distributed in Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications.<br/>The following treatments were used: TO control (100% water); Tl - 100% Bacillus; T2 - 75%<br/>Bacillus + 25% water; T3 50% Bacillus + 50% water; T4 - 25% Bacillus + 75% water.<br/>The result of the study revealed that Treatment 1 (100% Bacillus) was the most effective<br/>treatment for it best promoted the maximum growth, development, and yield of tomato. It<br/>achieved the tallest height, earliest maturity, and most number and heaviest fruits produced.<br/>Bacterization using Bacillus greatly boosts the growth, development, and yield of tomato. |
