Science High School, College of Education, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Engr. Edwin R. Arboleda.<br/><br/>The study was conducted from September 2013 to March 2014 inside the Cavite State University located at Bancod, Indang, Cavite. It aimed to develop a monitoring device that will sense and store temperature and relative humidity readings in the environment. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the sensor’s effectiveness in receiving the temperature and relative humidity values; determine the accuracy of the acquired data; determine the rate of success of data storage in the database; determine the effectiveness of the web server in displaying temperature and relative humidity values; and determine the cost of production of the device.<br/><br/>The constructed device underwent pilot testing. Based on the results of the sensor readings, it was observed that the device was able to gather temperature and relative humidity readings, transmit the readings from the transmitter to the receiver module, store the readings inside the database and upload it to the web page for viewing. The maximum distance that the transmitter would be able to reach was also measured. The readings gathered using the device were also compared to that of a standard hygrometer’s readings. The difference between the<br/><br/>Readings was proven insignificant, meaning that the gathered data using the device are accurate. |
