Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University. April 2014. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan.<br/><br/>This study investigated the perception, job satisfaction, and normative commitment of scholars under the Faculty and Staff Development Program (FSDP) of Cavite State University.<br/><br/>The specific objectives of this study were to: determine the profile of scholars under the Cavite State University — Faculty and Staff Development Program (CvSU- FSDP); determine the perception of scholars on CvSU-FSDP; determine the level of job satisfaction of scholars under the CvSU-FSDP; determine the level of normative commitment of scholars under the CvSU-FSDP; examine if there is a significant relationship between the perception of scholars on CvSU-FSDP and their level of job satisfaction; and, examine if there is a significant relationship between the job satisfaction level of scholars and their level of normative commitment. A total of 51 faculty members served as participants of the study. A questionnaire was used to determine the profile, general perception of scholars on CvSU-FSDP, their level of job satisfaction and degree of normative commitment.<br/><br/>Most of the participants were female between 30 to 39 years old, married, with PhD units and have served the university for at most fifteen years. The results showed the participants were generally satisfied with their jobs and were committed to the university.<br/><br/>Finally, there is a significant relationship between the scholars’ general perception on<br/>CvSU-FSDP and their job satisfaction. There is also a significant relationship between the total job satisfaction and normative commitment of scholars.<br/> |
