Adviser: DR. SIMEON S. CRUCIDO.<br/><br/>The effect of Bio — N on the growth and yield performance of sweet pepper (Capsicum annum Linn.) was studied under net house condition. The experiment was conducted using three (3) treatments namely: Treatment 1 (Uninoculated or Control), Treatment 2 (Seed Inoculated), and Treatment 3 (Root Inoculated). The treatments were replicated thrice and randomly distributed in the experimental area following a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Six (6) potted plants were used for the treatments per replication.<br/><br/>Growth of sweet pepper was not significantly enhanced by Bio — N inoculation. Sweet pepper in Treatment 3 (Root Inoculated) obtained the highest growth rate. Among the treatments, uninoculated plants exhibited the lowest growth performance in all the growth parameters studied.<br/><br/>For the yield of sweet pepper, inoculation significantly enhanced the yield of the said plants. Sweet pepper inoculated with Bio — N produced the highest total number of fruits, fruit weight and computed yield per hectare. Uninoculated plants obtained the Results show that the application of Bio — N increases the yield of sweet pepper.<br/> |
