Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. August 2015 Adviser: Arch. Kenn Paolo C. Valero.<br/><br/>The study was conducted from June 2014 to August 2015 to develop a design for a calamity-adaptive Fisherman’s Wharf, Tinapa Processing Facility and Fishport in Rosario, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. determine the calamities present in the locale; 2. identify designed strategies that the researchers can use to make the facility calamity- adaptive; 3. determine additional designed facilities that will help boost the tourism in Rosario; 4. determine the annual production of fish in Rosario, Cavite; and 5. identify the beneficiaries of the study.<br/><br/>The floating concept of Marina de Salinas is a new way of adapting to calamities which will set new benchmarks for the city that would otherwise be in trouble because of climate change. By embracing the water instead of fighting it, is an innovative and sustainable manner of solving the current problem of the world which is climate change and this could be the possible solution for Saving the future. Under this concept, the researchers used the “Pisces” as its form Supported by the design philosophy, Design should never say “Look at me”, it should always say “Look at this” by David Craib which means that building alone should not only speaks for itself, but should speak to its environment as a whole.<br/><br/>The authors had undergone research studies regarding the city’s current status on economy and tourism. They conducted interviews at the local government and at the site while promoting the pride of the Rosario- Tinapang Salinas. They found out that the proposed Marina de Salinas as a center for economic growth of the town is very much feasible.<br/> |
