Adviser: Prof Rhona Grace delos Reyes-Perola <br/><br/> The study was conducted from November 2013 to March 2014 in the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), to: determine the participants' level of awareness with Filipino Sign Language; find out the perception of the participants in the level of effectiveness of Filipino Sign Language in terms of a.) comprehension b.) usefulness and, to; identify the barriers in communicating encountered by the Feast PICC, deaf attendees. <br/>Survey questionnaire was used to gather information. The ministry had a total population of 16 regular deaf attendees. Everyone was included as participants in the study. Results revealed that majority of the participants strongly agree on all indicators of awareness to Filipino Sign Language. This implies that the participants are highly aware of FSL. <br/><br/> Results for the perception of the participants on the level of effectiveness of Filipino Sign Language in terms of comprehension are mostly strongly agree. This shows that participants are not only aware with Filipino Sign Language but they agreed that they also understand the message using FSL. Results for the perception of the participants on the level of effectiveness of Filipino Sign Language in terms of usefulness are also strongly agree. This shows that the participants are not just aware and do not just easily understand the message but they also perceive FSL as a useful tool for communication.<br/>
