Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing Management, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Mailah M. Ulep.<br/><br/>Sorbet-licious is an enterprise development project engaged in sorbet retailing business. The project was intended for the students to apply their knowledge and learned skills to actual business operation, which specifically aimed to describe the operation and management of fresh fruit sorbet business; determine the profitability of fresh fruits sorbet business; be able to implement effective marketing strategies; apply the marketing concepts and skills learned from the course; and identify the problems encountered in operating the business.<br/><br/>The project was conducted from November 17, 2015 to February 29, 2016 and was first based in Trece Manires City, eventually it was moved to Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.The business centered in offering different kinds of soft-served ice cream named after their flavours, such as Presto Banana, Banana Kisses, Sprinkled Banana, Banana Cookies and Banana Berry. In addition, the enterprise included watery fruits like watermelon, pineapple and melon as their ingredients for ice pops. The products were offered for sale, in cups which was called "sorbet in a cup" and on stick or ' 'sorbet on stick". Sorbet-licious sold their products to the residents of Trece Martires, Cavite and students, faculty and staff of Cavite State University — Indang Campus.<br/><br/>The business employed cost-based and mark-up pricing strategies in order to come up with the selling prices for each product. However, to promote their products, the entrepreneurs used different promotional tools such as giveaways, discounts and promos, leaflets and catalogs. The entrepreneurs also took advantage of the availability of the social media like Facebook, unable to update what are the new products that the business is offering.<br/><br/>During the 88-day business operation, the highest volume of production was noted in the month of December. For the entire business operation, Sorbet-licious was able to generate a total sales of P47, 219 with a net income of P7, 119.57.<br/>Through this project, with the problems and difficulties encountered, the proponents gained a lot of knowledge, experience and new ideas. The proponents' decision making, time management and critical thinking skills were developed.<br/> |
