The study was conducted to determine the demographic profile of the participants in terms of age, sex, civil status, education level, occupation, type of home ownership, no. of household members and source of information; to ascertain the level of earthquake preparedness of the participants in terms of personal protection, practical, and social preparedness; and to determine whether the demographic profile of the participants has a significant relationship with their personal, practical and social preparedness with regards to earthquake. The researchers conducted the study in Indang, Cavite from June 2015 to March 2016. Descriptive-correlational method of research was utilized in the study. Survey questionnaires were used to gather primary data in this study. Multi-stage sampling was used to obtain the 243 household heads as participants in the study. Based on the findings, among the 243 participants, majority were male. In terms of age, most of the participants are within the bracket of age 21-30 years old. In terms of educational attainment, mostly are college undergraduates while in terms of civil status the study revealed that most of the participants are married. As to the number of household members, the study showed that majority of the participants belongs in a household with 3-5 members and living in their own houses. In addition to that, the study also revealed that most of the participants are working on service shops and markets and majority of them has a monthly income of P5,000-P10,000. Lastly, the study showed that majority of the participants acquired their knowledge on earthquake through watching the television. . Also, it showed that the participants were highly prepared in terms of practical protection and personal preparedness yet they have the least level of percentage in terms of social preparedness. Lastly, it revealed that among the demographic profile only sex has a significant relationship with the participant’s personal and social preparedness. It supports and reveals that there is a significant relationship with earthquake preparedness in terms of personal protection, and social preparedness.
