The study aimed to 1.) determine the profile of the public and private high school teachers in terms of age, sex and civil status; 2.) determine the level of motivation among selected public and private high school teachers in terms of intrinsic, and extrinsic; 3.) determine the level of work contentment of the public and private high school teachers 4.) determine if there is significant difference in the motivation level between the private and public high school teachers if they grouped according to their profile 5.) determine if there is significant difference in the level of work contentment between the private and public high school teachers if they grouped according to their profile and 6.) find out if there is significant relationship that exists between motivation and work contentment of selected public and private high school teachers. The study used comparative-correlational research design. The study was conducted in selected public and private high schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite from November-December 2013. A total of 100 respondents were asked to answer the survey questionnaires. The two validated questionnaires were adopted and made to correlate the motivation and work contentment of selected public and private high school teachers. The answered instruments were analyzed and statistically tested. Based on the data gathered, there were 100 selected teachers ranging from 20-60 and above years old from selected private and public high schools majority of them are females and most of the teachers in public high school were married. The motivation and level of work contentment of public and private high school is high in general. Therefore the findings concluded that the teachers from Dasmariñas, Cavite were motivated and contented with their job. This implies that a teacher who is satisfied with his/her job is productive. Furthermore, if the teachers were contented with their job, they will develop and maintain high level of performance.
