This study was carried out to answer the question, "What is the exposure level, use and interpretation on Honorio Lopez Calendar of the selected residents of Alfonso, Cavite as a basis of their decision-making?". Specifically, it aimed to: determine the participants' level of exposure on Honorio Lopez Calendar; identify the parts of Honorio Lopez Calendar that is/are being used by the participants and; determine the participants' interpretation on Honorio Lopez Calendar. The participants of the study were 50 selected residents of Alfonso, Cavite. This descriptive research used survey questionnaires and interviews to gather the necessary information. Mean and standard deviation were used to assess the participants' level of exposure as well as their interpretation on Honorio Lopez Calendar. Frequency count was
also incorporated in determining the parts of Honorio Lopez Calendar that are being used by the participants as well as their reasons for using it. The result showed that the participants have low exposure on Honorio Lopez Calendar. The researchers also found out that the participants use the calendar as a means of following the customs and traditions practiced by their elders. More so, almost all of the participants use Honorio Lopez Calendar in choosing a date to be married (46) and in building a new house (45). Meanwhile, the participants perceived Honorio Lopez Calendar to he effective which implies that the calendar is still useful as a basis for their decision-making.

Moreover, the Philippines' Honorio Lopez Calendar has been proven beneficial to the lives of the Filipinos, especially to the residents of Alfonso, Cavite, as it served as their almanac for fortune, marriage, name derivation, sikatan or lunation, planting and house warming. Keeping them well-guided and well-informed in the aspects thereof, Honorio Lopez Calendar had served and still serves as an effective guide and a basis for their decision-making. Honorio Lopez Calendar serves only as a basis and a guide for people's decision-making. It only presents options, directions, predictions and perhaps some tips that may be considered in one's course of action. But it does not promise anything or assure a favorable outcome nor provide any expected result. Furthermore, this study is being recommended to the future researchers conducting studies of the same nature or media related researches, to the local government units of the municipality of Alfonso, Cavite and to the people of the Philippines to promote better understanding, appreciation and preservation of the culture that has emerged in the area.
