Guevarra, Liliosa Tejo, Don Severino Agricultural College, April 1980. "The Utilization of Farm urces in Relation to Land Tenure Status" Adviser: Mrs. Carolina S. Saga.
This study was conducted in four selected barrios of Indang, Cavite to determine the following: the various land tenure classes existing in the selected research areas; the socio-economic status of the farmers with different land tenure classes, and the relationship, between land tenure status and utilization of farm resources. A total of 100 respondents consisted of the sample. The age of farmers ranged from 27 to 80 years with an average of 51 years. Of the 100 respondents, 51 were owner-operators, 18 were part-owners, 15 were lessees, and 16 were tenants.
The average length of schooling was four years. Out of 100 respondents, nine did not have formal education; while four were able to reach college. The number of dependents were from zero to nine with four as the average. The average number of years engaged in farming was 25 and the average farm size was 2.5 hectares. Majority of the farmers had an average gross income of 4,000.00 to 8,000.00. Land tenure was found to have significant relation to annual gross income, labor utilization, labor expenses, and fertilizer expenses. On the other hand, land tenure had no relationship to land utilization, seed expenses and insecticides expenses.
