Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. April 2016. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Mary Joyce B. Eyaya. The research aimed to compare the psychological well-being of bullied homosexual and heterosexual high school in selected private high school in District VII, Cavite. Specifically, the study determined the common type of bullying experience, level Of psychological well-being and investigated the relationship between bullying and psychological well—being with regard to the participants' sexual orientation. Comparative—correlational design was used and cluster sampling technique was utilized to select the participants through the use of a survey. The instruments used were Katanungan para sa Kasarian, Gatehouse Bullying Scale, Multidimensional Peer Victimization Scale and RyfPs Psychological Well — Being Scale. Debriefing of participants was then given to students who were included in the study. The results revealed that the most common type of bullying experienced by the participants was verbal bullying, followed by social bullying and physical bullying. Furthermore, the participants exhibit positive thinking and functioning despite the bullying they encounter. In addition, the relationship of bullying and psychological well—being for both group showed that there were aspects that were significantly related such as environmental mastery and positive relations with others. It was also found out that there is no significant difference on the psychological well — being between homosexual and heterosexual grade seven students.
