This study aimed to find out the difference of widows and widower in terms of self-concept, emotional profile and their aspirations in life. This study intended to determine (1) what is the self-concept of widows and widowers; (2) what is the emotional profile of widows and widowers; (3) what is/are the aspirations of widows and widowers in terms of (a) family (b) career and (c) intimate relationships; also to determine (4) if there is significant difference in self-concept of the widows and widowers and (5) emotional profile of the widows and widowers. This study also wants to know the (6) significant difference in the aspirations in life between the widows and widowers regarding in (a) family, (b) career (work]finances) and (c) intimate relationship. Aside from those, this study also desires to determine (7) what are the experiences of widows and widowers are after the death of their husband/wife, and (8) how they perceive their life after the death of their spouse. The study used mixed-method research design, and was conducted in Dasmarifias City, Cavite. A total of 30 participants were asked to answer all the three instruments tha.t measurse the self-concept, emotional profile and aspirations of widows and widowers. Four of the participants bid permission to get interviewed. After the process of conducting the study, the researchers found that there is no significant difference between widows and widowers in terms of self-concept, emotional profile and their aspiration,based on the result of the statistics, there's some difference but the overall mean scores between widows and widowers were almost the same. In qualitative part, the study recognized the experiences of widows and widowers are after the death of their husband/wife, such as feeling of grief, being emotional, independency & self-regulation, feeling of eagerness, confused or having difficulties in accepting new partner and feeling of assurance before getting into another relationship. Participants also perceive their life after the death of their spouse positively, by accepting what happened to them Wilh courage to look forward into life
