Abstract: SAN GABRIEL, ROCHELLE P. and ROSARIO, IVYREE A. Visual Biometric Identification System in Ladies Dormitory of Cavite State University-Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Julie Ann C. Lontoc. The purpose of the study was to develop an identification system using face recognition that automatically logs the time in or out. The study provided a more efficient and accurate system for the administrators of the said dormitory when it came to handling of records. The study was conducted at Cavite State University Main Campus in Indang, Cavite from June 2014 to September 2015. The methodology used in the study was iterative development process. The software used in designing and developing the Visual Biometric Identification and monitoring system was Microsoft SQL Server for database, Adobe Photoshop CS6 for designing of forms and C# Visual Studio 2010 as the backbone software. The proponents used a questionnaire as the research instrument, and the potential users of the software served as the participants. One hundred questionnaires were distributed to 100 occupants of Ladies Dormitory at Cavite State University for the evaluation of the application software. The results collected through questionnaires were collated and tabulated. An overall mean of 4.22 were obtained from the conducted study. The software was evaluated and all criteria and objectives were satisfied. Based on the results, the study showed that the software was interpreted as "Excellent" in user- friendliness, user interaction and technical aspects of the software.
