The study was conducted to develop the android application "Mobile Classroom Locator System for Cavite State University Indang, Cavite" which is capable of providing information and easy way of searching classroom. The system features a map wherein users such as students, CvSU staff, and visitors can view the image and floor plan of a certain building once it is selected. The user can search their classroom using this system in which it is the main feature of the said application. This part of the system features a part of the CvSU map wherein it shows the current location and the destination of the user. In addition to that, the user can also view the floor number and the highlighted room to easily determine the exact location of the searched classroom.
Prototyping Development Approach Methodology was used to conduct the study. It includes different phases such as follows: planning, analysis and design, prototype testing, and finalizing the documents. In this methods, evaluation and other implementation were also included.
In the development of the system, a laptop with the following specifications was used: a computer with a processor of Intel Core i5 — 3230M 2.60 GHz, a RAM of 4.00 GB, a system type of 64-bit Windows 8.1 Professional Operating System, and 750 GB hard disk for storage. On the other hand, Java was used as the programming language, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for the image editing and for the graphics of the system. For the system documentation, the proponent used Microsoft Office Word 2013. The system was evaluated through different criteria and the objectives were satisfied.
