Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. November 2016. Adviser: Ms. Ria Clarisse L. Mojica. The study Saling-Wika: A Tagalog Speech-to-text Converter for Android, aimed to develop an accurate and efficient application for recognizing Filipino language and/or vocabulary words. It also fulfilled the needs of the people who are not able to have Internet connection which often uses such mobile application. The study was conducted from March 2015 to December 2016 at Cavite State University — Main Campus. The methodology used iterative life cycle model in the study to be able to achieve its objective. To develop the system, the researchers used Java with Android Studio IDE as programming language. The system was evaluated by 110 people including students and instructors of Cavite State University - Main Campus and other Android phone users. The software was evaluated and all criteria and objectives were satisfied. Based on the results, the study showed that the software was interpreted as excellent in user-friendliness, user-interaction, and technical aspects of the software.
