Abstract: CASANOVA, RALPH JHION M. Swine Production: An Entrepreneurial Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite April 2016. Adviser: Prof. Mariedel L. Autriz. The entrepreneurial project in swine production was conducted at Puting Kahoy, Calaca, Batangas from October 15, 2015 to January 12, 2016. The study was conducted to learn basic management practices in swine production, experience actual swine raising business, become familiar with problems encountered in swine raising and gain profit from backyard swine production. Six 2-month old fattening hogs were purchased to start the project. Ad libitum feeding was implemented for better feed conversion ratio, good carcass quality, better health control and less digestive problems were prohibited. After 89 days of feeding, from an average weight of 23.33 kg, the hogs produced recorded an average weight of 88.83 kg. The average feed consumption is 150 kg each, with a feed conversion efficiency of 2.29. The project after 89 days of feeding, the hogs recorded an average weight of 88.83 kg, posted an average feed consumption of 150 kg each, with a feed conversion efficiency of 2.29. The total production cost of the project amounted to P42, 664.00. A gross profit of PI 1, 208.00, and a net income of P9, 750.00 was realized resulting to a return of investment (ROI) of 22. 85%.
