An entrepreneurial project was conducted at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from April 20 to May 25, 2015 to expose the student in actual broiler production; develop managerial skills and assess the profitability of broiler production enterprise.
A total of 100 day-old chicks was raised for 35 days. After the rearing period, each bird consumed 2.75 kg of feeds resulting to an average body weight of 1.97 kg. The derived feed efficiency was 1.40. A 100 % harvest recovery was recorded.
The project's total expenses was P 13,242.00 while the total sales amounted to P 20,175.00. This resulted to a net profit of P 7,035.00. The computed return on investment was 53.53 percent.
