Abstract: ABSTRACT ALIWALAS, REAFLORt A. and. GARCIA, MAY-AN 1. Online Information System for Tourism Department in the Municipality of Amadeo, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Perey. This study was conducted from November 2014 to March 2016 at Amadeo, Cavite and CvSU, Indang, Cavite to develop an online information system for the employees of Tourism Department in the municipality of Amadeo, Cavite. Specifically; it aimed to: 1. identify the problems typically encountered by the Tourism Department of Amadeo, Cavite in managing information through interviews to be presented using fishbone diagram; 2. design a system using use case diagram that is user friendly and reliable in terms of its functionality and operations; 3. develop a system that includes the functionality needed using PHP for the development of the modules and MySQL as the database management system; 4. evaluate the system using unit testing to test for errors in the system as a whole. In the development of the software, Iterative Software Development was the methodology used in which it comprises five phases including; initial planning phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing and evaluation phase, and deployment phase. Online Information System for Tourism Department is composed of five (5) modules: account module, advertisement module, reservation module, feedback module and report module. The software was evaluated using indicators that are rated from one (1) to five (5) wherein 5 is rated as excellent, 4 as very good, 3 as good, 2 as fair and 1 as poor. The system has passed the criterion and met the objectives and its expected output.
