Bachelor in Sports and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser Ms. Mary Ann R. Cardines. A study was conducted at Cavite State University in Indang, Cavite to evaluate the perceived effect of tune up games to the performance of Cavite State University Varsity Athletes. Specifically the study determined the effect of tune up games to the performance based on the respondents view and further analyzed the correlation with demographic profile. Descriptive research design was utilized in this study. A total of one hundred nineteen (119) varsity athletes served as the participants of the study. A survey instrument was used to gather data from the participants identified the effects of tune up games by rating each effects a range from five (5) meaning that the varsity athletes "Strongly Agreed" to one (l) expressing their strong disposition in the effects. Results were tallied and organized into frequency distribution tables and analyzed descriptively. Frequency counts, mean, range, the percentage and standard deviation were calculated and interpreted to conclude the formulated hypotheses. All 25 items were rated as "strongly agree" by the varsity players with mean values greater than 4.20 as well as the overall mean. This signifies that the tune up games have effects to the varsity players. Specifically, highest ratings were given to the items such as having "Do your best if it is your last" mind set with 4.76; tune up games enhances the energy level and improves overall performances (4.76); increases the high level of self-motivation (4.76); and improves the agility and speed (4.70). However, the lowest mean obtained states that tune up games lower rates of anxiety (4.39). Results signified that tune up games have effects to the Cavite State University Varsity Athletes nevertheless the negative conelation observed between the effects and participant's demographic profile.
