Abstract: LONTOC, BRIAN CYRUS P. Backyard Hog Fattening in Dasmarinas City, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Project. Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite, Philippines, May 2017, Adviser: Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz A hog production project was conducted in Brgy. Paliparan Il Dasmarinas City, Cavite from February 3, 2017, to April 28, 2017, to expose the student entrepreneurs to the actual management and operation of a hog production enterprise. This project was conducted to gain more knowledge and skills in hog production and to determine the profitability of raising four hogs in three months. The swine production project used four piglets that were purchased from a local swine farm. The average weight of the piglets is 12 kg. The feeds were bought from a local agricultural supply in Paliparan Ill, Dasmarifias City, Cavite. The hogs underwent restricted feeding so that there will be no wasted feeds. On the first month the stocks consumed three sacks of hog starter pellet which amounted to P4,500.00. They also consumed eight sacks of hog starter pellet which amounted to P 10,240. After 85 days the stock weighed an average live weight of 69 kg, with an average daily gain of 670 grams per day. The hogs consumed an average of 137.5 kg of feeds per head, giving a feed conversion efficiency of 2.41 A total of P27,868.00 was used for buying of stocks, feeds, medicine, and other inputs used in the operation. The business gave a net income which amounted to P8, 122.00giving a return of investment (ROI) of 29.1%
