The entrepreneurs used restricted feeding management, to ensure the pigs won't be overfeed..At the first month of raising the piglets were fed using starter feeds three times a day, one kilo per pig was given. A total of four sacks of starter feeds were consumed, the total price of the starter crumble pellet is P5,569.00. The pigs also consumed twenty-three sacks of grower feed, they gave them a minimum of two kilo per head a day, there are times that they add a certain amount of feeds to ensure they grow well. A total of P29,210.00 was used for purchasing the twenty-three sacks of grower. They also give the hogs green feeds like sweet potato leaves. Sweet potato is an ideal livestock feed, as the roots can provide a source of energy and the leaves can provide protein (Woolfe, 1992). A total of P67,655.00 were prepared in making the projected cost and return analysis of raising eight hog fatteners. This amount were used for purchasing of the stocks, feeds, medicine, labor and other inputs used in the operation of the business.
