Abstract: MANLAPAZ, GLIZELLE B. Body Condition Score of Nutritionally Challenged Non-Descript Pubertal Goats. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. Cristina F.Olo The study was conducted at Cavite State University- Main Campus, Indang, Cavite, Philippines from February to May 2017. The study used 20 non-descript pubertal goats. The goats were grouped in two treatment groups: 100% roughage and roughage and concentrates. It aimed to determine the effects of supplementing concentrates to the body condition score and body weight of non-descript pubertal goats. Body weight and body condition score were not significantly different between treatments. This may be due to the animals supplemented with concentrates suffered from frequent scoring. Most of the animals increase in height which was observed on the last two weeks of the study. Therefore, supplementation of concentrates does not affect the body weight and body condition score of the animals. Body weight was not a reliable determinant of the body condition score of the goats.
