Abstract: ALCANTARA, ALEXIS R., ERESE, ALFRED D. and LLASUS, JESSA MAE M. Needs assessment on the implementation of the municipality of Indang social welfare services: A basis for an extension project. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. College of Criminal Justice. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. Marissa C. Lontoc. The main objective of the study was to assess the municipality of Indang social welfare services. Specifically, the study aimed to; (1) identify the level of implementation; (2) determine the problems on the implementation; and (3) establish possible solutions to address the problem on the implementation of Indang social welfare services in terms of self-employment assistance program, family and community welfare program, women welfare program, child and youth welfare program, emergency assistance program, program for disabled and elderly and daycare services as a basis for an extension project. The study was conducted at the municipality of Indang, Cavite. Participants of the study were implementers and recipients who were selected through purposive and convenience random sampling technique which a survey questionnaire was utilized as research instrument. The first set of questionnaires served as the basis to formulate another set of questions. Descriptive research method was used in this study. Result shows that majority of the participants was completely satisfied and benefited in the social services provided by Indang as for the level of its implementation. When it comes to problems encountered by participants, Indang social welfare services experienced problem on lack of competent trainers and personnel to facilitate its program and services further, a center that would cater and protect children and women. As for possible solutions of implementers and recipients, majority established collaboration with other agencies is a need to provide resolution with the problems encountered by Indang social welfare services. Therefore, social welfare services of Indang are suggested to maintain and improve its programs and services. Cavite State University may use the result of this study as a basis for an extension project.
