This study was conducted to determine the perceived effect of bullying to the varsity athletes’ performance; where they experience bullying and who are the perpetrators and what kind of bullying they experienced. The respondents were 70 varsity athletes from Cavite State University-Main Campus.
Almost all participants were male. They all feel challenged to win the game, they will prove to others that they deserve to win, they encourage them to play hard. This study is about the effect of bullying to the athletes' performance. Most of them experienced bullying in school, while few of them experienced bullying in public, and in the church. Their co-athletes were usually the perpetrators of bullying where the respondents were in school. Most of the time they treated the experience as a motivation to achieve their goals in their chosen sports and never quit their games but these have an effect on their performance as an athle
