Implication of Contractualization on the Career Perception and Performance of Academic Employees of Cavite State University, Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser : Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan. This study sought to determine the implication of contractualization on the career perception and performance of academic employees of Cavite State University. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) determine the demographic profile of the contractual employees in term of age, sex, educational attainment and length of time being a contractual; (2) determine the career perception of contractual academic employees; (3) determine the level of job performance of contractual academic employees; (4) determine the significant relationship between demographic profile and the career perception of the contractual academic employees; (5) determine the significant relationship between demographic profile and the job performance of the contractual academic employees; (6)determine the significant relationship between career perception and job performance of contractual academic employee. The study cover the whole CvSU system which included the Main Campus with six colleges and eight branch campuses.Total enumeration was employed in the study and 86 contractual faculty members participated in this study. A survey questionnaire was used in the collection of primary data.Findings of the study revealed that there was a significant relationship between demographic profile, particularly the length of time being a contractual, and the career perception of a contractual employee of the university. Majority of the participants have only less than two years of service. However, they have a positive perception of their career and their job performance was excellent even as contractual employees. In general, there was no significant relationship between demographic profile and career perception and between the demographic profile and job performance. Likewise, no significant relationship was found between career perception and performance of the contractual academic employee.
