Abstract: ALMONGUERA, ALGENE CRISLE G. The Implementation of Gender and Development Programs and Services for the Survivors of Domestic Violence in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Mr. Joven E. Dicen. This study sought to analyze the implementation of Gender and Development Programs and Services for the survivors of domestic violence in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite. It is also aimed to determine the services rendered by the Gender and Development Program as perceived by the domestic violence survivors and know the situations of the survivors before and after they received services from Gender and Development Program. The study also aimed to solicit suggestions on how the Gender and Development Programs and Services be further improved. This study used descriptive method of research for deeper understanding of phenomenon. The descriptive method was used to analyze the implementation of Gender and Development Programs and Services rendered to the survivors of domestic violence. The study utilized purposive sampling technique, which relies on the judgment of the researcher when it comes to selecting the participants to be studied. For the data gathering, one self-made survey instruments, which composed of 30-item questionnaire with 5-point Likert scale. An interview guide was also used in interviewing, which composed of eight questions. For statistical analysis of data, frequency, mean, and standard deviation were used. The overall results of the study were presented as follow: the psycho-social services was the highest availed service of Gender and Development Program and regarded as often availed. The least availed service was technical services and regarded as seldom availed. The Gender and Development Programs and Services greatly affected the lives of the survivors of domestic violence in their coping process. Until now, they keep availing the programs and services depending on their needs for the situation. The suggestion solicited from the survivors of domestic violence on how to improve the programs and services included the following: Improving the system, lessening the requirements, increasing manpower, orienting all people on how to prevent domestic violence, and discussing the programs and services that they can avail in the Gender and Development Program.
