Abstract: Batusin , Jaspher Jeanne C. Madrio, Mary Jovelynn B. Accessibility Audit of Selected CvSU Main Campus Buildings. Undergraduate thesis manuscript submitted to the faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Arch. Epitacio A. Olegario Jr. This study was conducted from August to May 2018 in Cavite State University Don Severino delas Alas Campus, Indang Cavite for the accessibility audit of selected Cvsu main buildings. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1. propose architectural floor plan integrating standard specifications set by the Accessibility Law; 2. enhance the mobility of the disabled persons in Cavite State University Main Campus; 3. increase architectural awareness among architects, engineers and school administration regarding the Accessibility Law; 4. assess compliance of selected Cavite State University Buildings to BP 344; Analytical research was used to analyze and determine the compliance of Cavite State University Main campus to the accessibility law. Twenty three buildings were assessed for compliance assessment with respect to the BP 344. The researchers provide a accessibility features checklist for the assessment of the various building. Accessibility features checklist includes assessing of the doors and entrances, corridors and hallways, signage, washroom and toilets, accessible ramps, parking, and elevator. For hotel and dorms it includes reception and assessing of bedroom. Moreover, for site it includes on assessing the gradient of the ramp, dropped sidewalks and all requirements for sidewalks/walkways. The results of the building inspection have given the researchers of data for the proposal of plans and recommendation guidelines. Based on the findings of this study to assess selected buildings regarding improvement of existing school facilities, it is clear that the users especially the employees and policy makers hold different perceptions regarding the overall condition of the University. In order to address these differences, it is recommended that the school personnel and staff make consistent efforts that all the persons concerned are kept informed about these issues. As indicated in the requirements of BP 344 all buildings should complied on this standards for better mobility for the disabled persons.
