Abstract: CONCEPCION REGINO REV B. FARMER'S SOLUTION ON LAND USE CONVERSION IN CITIES OF GENERAL TRIAS AND DASMARINAS IN THE PROVINCE OF C'AVITE (YEAR 2005-2015). Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2018. Adviser: Mr. Renato T. Agdalpen, MA. The study focused on the conversion/reclassification orders in relation to the farmer's solution and it identified the effects and significance in their way of living. The participants were ten rice farmers from: Brgy. Langkaan I, Brgy. Salawag, Brgy. Paliparan II in City of Dasmarinas. Brgy. Alingaro, Brgy. San Francisco, Brgy. Santiago and Brgy. Pasong Camachile in City of General Trias, whose main source of income is farming, and have three hectares of land that was subject for land conversion/reclassification. The study focused on the problems and solutions made by farmers on land conversion. The researcher used purposive-convenient sampling in determining the participants of the study. The main instrument used was descriptive-narrative research in order to carefully describe and explain factual and detailed information of the study. The total agricultural land, from 2005-2015, was converted mostly to residential, housing projects, commercial and industrial purposes that reached to 1,028 hectares. Meanwhile, the major problem faced by farmers is eviction from their farm land because most were tenants. Apparently, it revealed that the local government did not contribute on the development of its local farmers. Results revealed most of the farmers' solutions were still in with their alternative living once their land were converted, since most of them were old aged. However there were farmers who continued to assert their rights by organizing and mobilizing their ranks.
