Abstract: FELICIO, FELICIANO M. and LUBUGAN, ARJAY D. Development of CASMANA: A Call and SMS Manager for Android Devices. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Ms. Ria Clarisse L. Mojica. This study was conducted from August 2017 to March 2018 at Cavite State University- Main Campus to develop a call and SMS Manager for android. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. identify the problems of the users regarding call and SMS management android devices through surveys; 2. analyze the identified problems using fishbone diagrams; 3. develop audio profile module that will solve difficulty in identifying the contact who sent a message or calling without looking at the phone; 4. build a blacklist module that will answer easily recognize exclusive calls and SMS to minor by setting a specific contact in the exclusive function; 5. create a schedule module that will help the android users with the schedule of blocking of specific contact number; and 6. Evaluate the using unit, integration, and system testing. Incremental Development Methodology was used as the methodology of the application. To implement the application, the Android Studio was used. Ninety (90) people from Cavite State University and 10 IT specialist evaluated the application results were collected through an evaluation based on ISO 9126. According to the overall evaluation results, the system was judged to be excellent in all software quality criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability, and user-friendliness. Upon the completion of the study, the researchers concluded that this would be a solution for the common problems encountered by the android users especially the raised security issues of android users.
