Abstract: HAYAG, ANDRELYNN G. and RONSAIRO, DINKY P., Investment Decision of Entrepreneurs in Microenterprises in Selected Cities of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Financial Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Ms. Mary Grace A. Hagan. This research dealt with the investment decision of entrepreneurs in microenterprises in selected cities of Cavite. The purpose of the study was to identify the investment decision of entrepreneurs in microenterprises in selected cities of Cavite, covering the period from January to May 2017. Specifically, the study aimed to describe the socio-demographic characteristics of micro entrepreneurs, the level of willingness to invest in micro entrepreneurs, and the investment activities of micro entrepreneur. This, likewise, compares the level of willingness to invest of micro entrepreneur according to socio-demographic characteristics, the investment activities of microentrepreneur according to socio-demographic characteristics, and the relationship between the level of willingness to invest and investment activities of microentrepreneurs. A survey questionnaire was used to collect data from 120 microentrepreneurs in the cities of Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Imus, and Trece Martires. Descriptive and correlation methods were used in presenting and analysing the data. The SpearmanRank correlation was used to ascertain the relationship between the level of willingness to invest and the ent investment activities of the participants. In addition, Kruskall Wallis, and Mann Whitney z-test were used to determine the difference on the level of willingness to invest and the current investment activities of the participants according to socio-demographic characteristics. The participants' age generally ranged from 30 to 39 years old, most of them were female, high school graduates and had a monthly gross income of P20,000 and below. The results showed that as to the level of willingness to invest on conservative and aggressive activities, microentrepreneurs were found to be unsure whether they will invest or not given the various investment activities. The test also revealed that the participants usually put their money on health and life insurances. They also tend to reinvest extra money on the enterprise and informally lend money without collateral. The findings also revealed that there were no significant differences between the level of willingness to invest of the participants and investment activities of the participants according to socio-demographic characteristics. Lastly, the level of willingness to invest and investment activities of the participants implies that microentrepreneurs' decisions to invest could not associate with their level of willingness.
