Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2018, Adviser: Ms. Alyssa R. Eseque. RPm Descriptive correlational design was used as research method. One hundred married breadwinners were the participants of this study. The instrument used in this study was lifted and modified. Mean, frequency, standard deviation, frequency distribution, percentage and spearman test were used to answer the problems on this study and to find out whether the hypothesis were accepted or rejected. Based on the result of the study, it was found out that married breadwinners obtained an average level of stress. In coping mechanisms, they used confrontive, accepting responsibility, escape — avoidance, positive reappraisal and seeking-social support in other way round this coping mechanisms are significantly related to their stress level. Moreover, coping mechanisms in terms of distancing has no significant relationship with the stress level. This study revealed that majority of the breadwinners has an average level of stress. Even though they experience stress, married breadwinners become more resilient and can be calm when dealing with it. It also revealed that majority of married breadwinners use confrontive, accepting responsibility, escape — avoidance, positive reappraisal and seeking-social support coping strategies whenever the level of their stress arises. Furthermore the result of the study shows that there is a significant relationship between the stress level and coping mechanism of the married breadwinners.
