The study was about the loan activities of PUV drivers in selected transport associations in Cavite. A total of 100 PUV drivers in 10 selected transport associations in Indang and Trece Martires City who availed loans were the participants of the study. The research instrument used to gather data were questionnaires. Descriptive statistics was used to treat the data. To test the significant difference, researchers used Kruskal-Wallis test. Majority of the participants are in the age of 32 to 41 years old, married, graduated from high school, have no other occupation, the estimated monthly income ranged from P2, 000 to P30, 000 and have 2 to 5 family members. The most common sources of loan of PIJV drivers are from informal money lenders and family relatives. The most important thing for the drivers before availing loan is to consider the terms and conditions of the loan. Majority of the participants pa) their debts on a daily basis. The amount of loan availed by the PUV drivers ranged from PI, 500 to P500,000.The number one reason why PUV drivers were availing loan is to sustain the food needed by their family. The socio-economic profiles of the PUV drivers were found to be significantly related to some variables of loan activities. Age was found to be significant when borrowing loans from cooperatives, family/relatives, and in terms of the amount of loan. Educational attainment was found to be significant when availing loans from banks. Other sources of income were found to be significant when availing loans from banks, and availing loans from family/relatives. When availing loans from informal money lenders, income was found to be significant. The household size was found to be highly significant when availing loans from lending institutions and cooperatives The study showed that the socio-economic profile of the PUV drivers such as age, civil status, educational attainment, other source of income, monthly income, and number of family members were not significant with the level of contribution of the loan felt by the PUV drivers. Result showed that there was no significant difference for the two variables.
