This study entitled "The Relationship of Parenting Style and Personality Type of Selected Parents in Imus City, Cavite" was conducted at selected baranggay's in Imus Cavite and the participants who participated were the selected parents from Imus, Cavite. The researcher took first the total barangay in Imus and she used the stratified sampling as her sampling technique to get the one hundred forty (140) parents as her participants. The study identified the profile of the participants in terms of age, gender and religion also in terms of parenting style and personality type. This research claimed that the most dominant personality type for each parenting were, Reformer and Peacemaker for Authoritarian; Achiever for Authoritative and Loyalist for Permissive, while the least personality types for each parenting styles were Loyalist for Authoritarian; Individualist for Authoritative and Achiever for Permissive. 95 (67.86%) parents are females and 45 (32.14%) parents are males and they all came from Imus, Cavite. 15% out of 100% were the helper type of personality which was the most dominant personality type in this study, while the most dominant parenting style (50.71%) was the authoritative style. It also revealed that there was no significant relationship between parenting style and personality type of selected parents in Imus City, Cavite (Pearson chi2(4) = 5.5462 Pr = 0.236).
