Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineer. April 2005. Adviser Engr. Marcelino Dagasdas Jr. The improvement and design of United Church of Christ of the Philippines (UCCP) chapel was conducted at Cavite State University main Campus February 2004 to April 2005.It was evaluated in February 2005 at the Accreditation Room, Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and Information Technology. The design of structural members was based on the Structural Analysis and Design software (STAAD-III) output, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code, national Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), and the codes and specifications for Ultimate Stress Design. The primary objective of the study was to improve and design the UCCP chapel which can be serve as reference to the incoming Civil Engineering student, people of Indang and Cavite State University, for future implementation. The authors developed and applied the skills and knowledge in various aspects of structural design and analysis. The detailed architectural plans were developed through the suggestions and recommendations of the members of the panel and the administration of Cavite State University. Structural plans were based on the results of actual computations in which all structural members were checked for strength, stability and economy. For the entire study, the estimated cost was P 3,586,057.23.
