Abstract: FEROLINO, HAZEL E Design of Reinforced Concrete Retaining Wall along Lulungisan Road at Tambo Malaki, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2005. Adviser: Allan Rowel Alonalon. The study was conducted from July 2004 to March 2005 under the supervision of Eng'r. Allan Rowel V. Alonalon. It was evaluated on February 16, 2005 at the Audio Visual Room of the College of Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Specifically, it was aimed to provide plans and documents as reference for the future implementation of its construction. In the design of reinforced concrete retaining wall, ultimate strength design was used. Detailed structural drawings, structural design, detailed surveying, design specification and detailed estimates were included in the study. A miniature scaled model of the reinforced concrete retaining wall was then provided after the completion of the analysis and design process. The design of reinforced concrete retaining wall along Lulungisan road at Tambo Malaki, Indang, Cavite has an overall span of 316.00m and with a height that varies from 6.00, 8.00 and 12.00m respectively. The design of base, stem, heel and toe of reinforced concrete retaining wall was considered in the study. Three types of retaining wall designs were made, design no.1 with a height of 6.00 m, design no. 2 with a height of 8.00 m and design no. 3 with a height of 12.00 m. The total estimated cost obtained was Php 23,407.00 per linear meter for 6.00 m height of wall, Php 35,430.00 per linear meter for 8.00 m height of wall and Php 54,199.00 per linear meter for 12.00 m height of wall. The total estimated material cost obtained for 316.00 m retaining wall was 12, 163, 790.00 pesos. A thorough analysis of the design guidelines, procedure and specifications was applied in the study. The parameters used were carefully studied and determined as to arrive to an efficient and effective design.
