A three-month field study was conducted in Land Bank of the Philippines, Tanauan City Branch. The study exposed the author to the firm's management operation and environment and gave opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom discussions. Data and information were obtained through the bank's manuals and reading materials. Actual participation in some of banks activities were also conducted in obtaining the data needed. Other information was obtained from the trainee's observation and interview with the manager and the staff. The study was limited in the organization and management of the firm particularly in New Accounts Counter. Problems encountered in the department were also discussed. Land Bank of the Philippines is the primary source of much needed credit of the agriculture sector the lifeblood of the economy. Among-government financial Institutions, Land Bank is the biggest and one of the most financially stable. During the span of training at LBP Tanauan City Branch, the following skills were developed: processing or opening new account, filing, dealing with different kinds of people and the use of different office equipment like fax machine and computer using different programs. Several problems were observed and suitable solutions were suggested. The problems identified were too much lease rental, congested lobby and small parking spaces. To solve these problems, the firm is planning to terminate their lease contract and relocate their branch.
