Bachelor of Science in Development Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser: Ms. Adora Joy T. Plete. The study was conducted to:1) determine the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the administrators, business establishment owner and consumer in Trece Martires City in which the plastic ban ordinance is implemented; 2)determine the level of awareness of administrators, business establishments owner and consumer on the plastic ban ordinance in Trece Martires City; 3)determine the knowledge level of the administrators, business establishments owner and consumer on the plastic ban ordinance Trece Martires City; 4)determine the attitude level of administrators, business establishments owner and consumer on the plastic ban ordinance Trece Martires City; 5)identify the effects of the Plastic Ban Ordinance as perceived by administrators, business establishment owner and consumer. The study had twenty-five administrators from mayor down to barangay captains; 100 business establishment owners in wet and dry market in the market proper and 100 consumers as respondents. Frequency count, percentage, mean, range and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. The respondents had a mean age of 37, majority of them were female, married and high school graduate. The average monthly income was P17,200. Only few respondents had attended training/seminar regarding plastic ban ordinance. Almost half of the respondents have high level of awareness on plastic ban ordinance. However, it is only the administrators who were knowledgeable in terms of the national and local policies, rules and standards related to plastic ban ordinance. The administrators and business establishment owners have highly favorable attitudes toward plastic ban ordinance while consumers have favorable attitude towards it. The most mentioned perceived effect of plastic ban ordinance by the respondents was less wastes.
