Interpersonal Motives, Forgiveness and Post-transgression Motivations of Grade 11 students in Dasmarinas National High School. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Adviser: Based on the results, the researchers found out that the interpersonal motive of grade II students is high level of communal motives, whereas their dispositional forgiveness is forgiveness to others, and their post-transgression motivation is high level of revenge. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between interpersonal motives and forgiveness, post-transgression motivations. Also, it was found out that forgiveness can highly predict the post-transgression motivations of the students. , RPm. This study was conducted on March 2017 among grade 1 1 students at Dasmariiias National High School-Main (DNHS). Specifically, the study aimed to determine: (1) interpersonal motives that drives the participants at DNHS to forgive in terms of agentic and communal motives; (2) dispositional forgiveness of the participants at DNHS in terms of forgiveness to others and forgiveness to situations; (3) post-transgression motivations of the participants at DNHS after experiencing an offense or transgression in terms of avoidance, benevolence and revenge; (4) the relationship among variables mentioned; and (5) which among these variables can predict post-transgression motivations. Descriptive-correlation designed was used in the study where researchers utilized a pre-survey and three survey questionnaires. The pre-survey contained situational items that will reflect different types of transgressions in terms of family, peers and romantic relationships that usually happens to adolescent stage. The three questionnaires Interpersonal Motives Scale, Adapted fIeartland Forgiveness Scale, and Post-transgression Motivations Scale obtained the information that was needed in the study. There were 275 respondents in this study. A simultaneous survey was done to assess the student's interpersonal motives, forgiveness and post-transgression motivations. The data gathered were tabulated and statistically analyzed. Based on the results, the researchers found out that the interpersonal motive of grade II students is high level of communal motives, whereas their dispositional forgiveness is forgiveness to others, and their post-transgression motivation is high level of revenge. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between interpersonal motives and forgiveness, post-transgression motivations. Also, it was found out that forgiveness can highly predict the post-transgression motivations of the students.
