Development of An Engine Holder, Stainless Table and Coil Spring Remover For Instructional Purposes.Undergraduate Design Project.Bachelor in Industrial Technology, major in Automotive Technology.Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2017. Adviser: Mr. Danielito R. Escatio. Different kinds of equipment are being used by people. In automotive technology there are different kinds of equipment and tools used by the technicians. Stainless steel table, engine holder and coil spring remover are some examples of equipment used in the automotive industry. This equipment had been popular for it's convenience in the field of automotive. The engine holder, stainless table and coil spring remover were constructed using the following methods: canvassing, purchasing, cutting the materials, welding and fabrication, evaluating and evaluating. The design project was made up of angular bar which served as the frame of the table. Authors used 2"x2" angular bar for the frame of the table. The design project was made up of angular bar which served as the frame of the table. The stainless sheet and metal plate used in the design project was a 60"x48" cm. Authors used a steel plate, stainless sheet and each corner are bend to serve as water and oil passage coming from the engine to the container. The stainless table can be used in examining engine parts, engine, transmission, carburetor and other parts of the vehicle. It has also water and oil container so it can be disposed properly. Coil spring remover was also made up of angular bar. Authors used the same size of angular bar to lessen the cost of materials. It has also a steel pipe that served as the handle of the coil spring remover. Engine holder structure is made up of a tubular bar. There are 5 knots used to join the different parts of the engine holder. Engine holder has a 4 mounting arm that holds the engine. The project proved to be effective in providing knowledge about different kinds of equipment's to automotive students. It will open new opportunities for students to get familiarized with basic procedure on how to use the design project. The project development had a total cost of P29, 452.00.
